UK Battles to Win The Great British Write Off!

The Great British Write Off is an exciting competition for poets and writers, where one lucky winner will win every penny in the prize fund, which increases every time a new entry is received! This year they are inviting entrants to represent either England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, as there are also prizes up for grabs for the best poet or writer in each country!

Whether you are new to writing or have a huge portfolio of work, The Great British Write Off is a fun, free opportunity to share your work, get published and even win a prize. Simply pick one original piece you've written - a poem, mini saga or a 250-word story or novel extract and enter online, by email or post by Friday 31st July 2015.

Last year's winner of £1450.50, poet Anastasia Prempeh, joins the GBWO judging panel this year alongside spoken word sensation Mark Grist and Ana McLaughlin, publishing PR guru. As well as the cash prize for one lucky winner, there will be a prize bundle for the winner in each country. Pick which country you'd like to represent when you enter – you don't have to live there to represent it in this writing contest! Prizes include a bespoke golden notepad by Leuchtturm Albenverlag, a poetry book bundle from Michael O'Mara books, The Writers' & Artists' Yearbook 2015 and Childrens' Writers' & Artists' Yearbook 2015, a non-fiction selection of books from DK Books and Bic pens!

Last year The Great British Write Off received lots of poems, this year, to date, poetry is still more popular and entries are flooding in from England...

With over £350 in the prize fund already, what are you waiting for!
